From standard tables to exclusive VIP – there's an option for every budget
Baccarat is actually one of the easiest casino games to learn. Here are the basic steps:
Before the cards are dealt, you must place your bet — either on Player, Banker, or Tie. These are your only choices in classic baccarat.
Each card is worth its face value (2–9). Face cards (J, Q, K) and 10s are worth zero. Aces are worth 1. If the total exceeds 9, only the last digit counts — for example, 7+8=15 counts as 5.
Both sides (Player and Banker) are each dealt two cards. If either side totals 8 or 9 (a natural), the round ends immediately.
If no natural is dealt, a third card may be drawn according to fixed rules. The Player draws a third card on a total of 0–5. The Banker follows more complex rules based on their own total and the Player's third card.
The side closest to 9 wins. A Player win pays 1:1. A Banker win pays 1:1 minus 5% commission. A Tie pays 8:1.

| Bet Type | Fee | House Edge |
|---|---|---|
| Player (Player) | 1 : 1 | 1.24% |
| Banker | 1 : 1 (minus 5%) | 1.06% |
| Tie | 8 : 1 | 14.36% |
| Player Pair | 11 : 1 | 10.36% |
| Banker Pair | 11 : 1 | 10.36% |
Expert tip: The Banker bet carries the lowest house edge (1.06%), making it the statistically smartest choice — even with the 5% commission.
If you've ever stepped into a physical casino in Malaysia or Singapore, you've probably noticed one thing — the baccarat tables are almost always packed. That's no coincidence. Baccarat has long been a favourite among Malaysians, and now with online platforms like egames99, its popularity continues to soar.
What makes baccarat so appealing is its simplicity. Unlike poker, where you need to memorise dozens of hand combinations, or blackjack, which demands a complex strategy chart, baccarat only asks you to choose between three options — Player, Banker, or Tie. After that, the dealer handles everything else. You sit back, watch, and wait for the result. But don't be mistaken — beneath that simplicity lies a game that is genuinely thrilling and capable of delivering big wins.
At egames99, we bring the authentic baccarat experience straight to your screen. Our dealers are trained professionals who greet you warmly, deal cards with proper technique, and ensure every round runs smoothly. Our video stream uses the latest technology — imagine sitting at a real table, except you're actually relaxing on your sofa at home in Petaling Jaya or Kota Kinabalu.
At egames99, we offer both formats of baccarat. Baccarat Live features a real dealer physically dealing cards in front of a camera, delivering the most authentic experience possible. Many players prefer this because they can watch every card being dealt with their own eyes – leaving no room for doubt about game fairness.
RNG baccarat uses a certified random number generator to determine card outcomes. It's ideal for players who want to practise or prefer a faster pace without dealer interaction. The RTP rate for both formats at egames99 maintained at the highest standards in the industry.

A guide for players who want to approach egames99 with a more structured strategy
The statistically safest strategy. With a house edge of just 1.06%, the Banker bet gives you the best odds over the long run. Even with the 5% commission, it remains more favourable than any other bet.
Double your bet after every loss and return to your original stake when you win. For example: RM20 → RM40 → RM80. This strategy works best when you have a sufficient bankroll and the table is going through an unstable run.
Increase your bet after a win, not a loss. After three consecutive wins, return to your original stake. This lets you maximise profits during a hot streak while keeping your losses in check.
Increase your bet following the Fibonacci sequence (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13...) after each loss. Less aggressive than Martingale, this suits players who want better control over consecutive losses.
While the Tie payout (8:1) looks tempting, its 14.36% house edge makes it the least favourable bet on the table. Experienced players rarely, if ever, bet Tie consistently.
Set a daily loss limit before you start — for example, RM200 — and never exceed it, even if you feel certain you're about to turn things around. Keeping a clear head is the hallmark of a successful player.
Many people ask – why choose egames99 to play baccarat when there are so many other platforms out there? The answer lies in the overall experience. From the moment you log in, you will feel the difference. A clean, intuitive interface, clearly laid-out table options, and a video stream that never drops – not every platform can deliver that.
We at egames99 understand that Malaysian players have their own preferences. We have Malay-speaking dealers at select tables – something you will rarely find on other platforms. Imagine chatting comfortably with the dealer while you play, just like at a real casino. That is exactly what we bring to you.
On top of that, egames99 also offers a game history feature that lets you review every round you've played. It's a valuable tool for analysing your own strategy — what patterns do you notice? Where did you make the wrong call? With this data at hand, you can keep improving.
A key concern for many online players is fairness. How can you be sure the game is not being manipulated? At egames99, all our live baccarat games are operated by independent third parties using real physical equipment — card decks, dealer shoes, and tables broadcast live. No digital manipulation is possible because you witness every card being dealt in real time.
For RNG baccarat, our system uses a random number generator that has been certified by an independent testing body. This ensures every outcome is truly random and cannot be predicted or manipulated by anyone. Your trust is the most valuable asset for egames99, and we will never compromise on this.
